Outdoor Mesh (Textilene) is great for outdoor use. The open weave allows air and water to flow through, helping dogs stay cool and dry. Because this fabric is an open weave, it will not hold up against persistent digging and is not covered by our warranty.
Textured Nylon (Cordura Nylon) is abrasion resistant high-denier nylon. Similar to a canvas or brushed cotton, it is ideal for older dogs as it provides plenty of traction getting on and off the bed. It’s also the best fabric choice for dogs with sensitive skin or allergies.
The 50x36 size in the Cordura fabric comes with a vinyl backing to prevent stretching and sagging under the weight of heavier dogs.
Smooth Nylon (Ballistic Nylon) is our best selling retail fabric. It is durable like Cordura but with a smooth finish that won’t catch hair, making it easier to clean. This fabric is not an option with the XXL (50x35) size beds.
Heavy Duty Vinyl (40 oz. Vinyl) is our most durable option. It is a solid, vinyl coated polyester that is ideal for persistent diggers and for frequent cleaning/sanitizing. It is what we recommend for our professional customers.
